It's hard to imagine a sexier, more dynamic sixty year old than Rupert Campbell-Black. But here he is, back in all his glory, filling the pages of Jilly Cooper's latest novel with his outrageous and captivating exploits in the world of flat racing. The novel is peopled with a cast of characters, both human and animal, familiar to readers of Jilly Cooper's previous novels, and is enlivened by the addition of new characters, with the antics of the equines being particularly charming and hilarious. Descriptions of the world of horse racing today are accurate, informative, and at times quite graphic. As a long time lover of Jilly Cooper's novels, I devoured this book, all 100 chapters of it in just a few days. If like me you are a fan, you are in for a treat.
