Neggers has a smooth hand in slipping informative background on the characters into the narrative. Helpful in keeping the storyline moving forward without innumerable flashbacks (although it helps to have read the previous books). On the whole, however, the story dragged along and then jumped into sudden climatic action. I read back a few pages to see if I had missed something or if some pages had gotten stuck together. Sadly, neither was true. Still, Heron's Cove is another winner in Neggers' Sharpe & Donovan romantic suspense series. I've read the others and await the next.
