A local health science professor isn't surprised by results from a recent study linking increased alcohol consumption in the province to the privatization of the liquor retail 10 years ago. "The literature points to a significant correlation between access and misuse," said Christopher Rose, an assistant professor with the addictions counseling program at the University of Lethbridge.
