Well-acted romantic melodrama; nice music and photography. Unfortunately, not in HD. In Irish English, and NO subtitles. Essential viewing for the early career of Colin FARRELL (not Firth). Notable quote: "Don't you feel that if the women of Ireland followed what they really feel in their hearts, the whole country'd crack open?"

Great story and acting. Colin Firth is a young actor in this. Beautiful Scenery also.

This is a very good woman's movie, quite a tearjerker but very well acted. Not if you are a feminist. The heroine finally finds peace and is finally free of her own shackles.
